Playgroups

Playgroups meet in the Life Centre every weekday during school terms. There are morning and afternoon sessions.

Playgroups are available for 0-1 year olds, 1-2 year olds, and 2-4 year olds.

Non-English speaking families and special needs children are most welcome. The goal of playgroups is to help children to learn and develop many new skills through play and socialising. We share parents' excitement to see children grow in confidence, sharing, communicating, co-operating, etc. Children attend with their parent/carer once a week, and participate in fun activities suited to their age group. The playgroup rooms are off the courtyard/playground area, easily accessible from the car park. Each group is led by a voluntary leader and care person.

The cost is $25 per term for the 0-1 and 1-2 year-old age groups, and $35 per term for 2-4 year olds. Over one hundred children are involved in these opportunities and, depending on the day, a waiting list may exist. Breakaway

Thursday morning 10.30am – midday for parents of all ages with childcare provided, operates during school terms. BreakAway allows parents to get a bit of downtime from their kids and also to spend some quality time with other adults, providing opportunities for friendship and support network, whilst kids are cared for in a stimulated environment. Morning Tea, craft, reading, conversation, magazines and opportunities for friendship building are provided. Contact the church office for more information.
